Biography
Narges Elmi, a 30-year-old plant genetics expert living in Tehran, was killed on January 11, 2026. She was shot in the temple by government forces while driving, an attack that also affected her sister. Elmi, who had plans to continue her studies in Canada, was later buried in Ahvaz under heavy security after her family retrieved her body from Kahrizak.
نرگس علمی، نخبه ۳۰ ساله ژنتیک گیاهی و ساکن تهران، در تاریخ ۲۱ دی ۱۴۰۴ به قتل رسید. او هنگام رانندگی در تهران هدف شلیک گلوله نیروهای حکومتی به شقیقهاش قرار گرفت و مغز او بر صورت خواهرش پاشید. علمی که قصد داشت برای ادامه تحصیل به کانادا برود، پس از سه روز مراجعه خانواده به کهریزک، پیکرش در اهواز و تحت تدابیر امنیتی به خاک سپرده شد.
